A rough terrain forklift has large pneumatic tyres, high ground clearance and a diesel engine, so it can lift and carry pallets on gravel, grass, mud and uneven yards where a warehouse forklift would get stuck. Choose 2WD for firm yards and builders merchants, or 4WD (4x4) for building sites, farms and timber yards. Most models lift 2.5 t to 5 t, with heavier trucks listed too. Every truck is new, made to order and priced per unit ex VAT for business customers.

2WD suits firm gravel and hardstanding. 4WD keeps traction on mud, slopes and soft ground.
Is a rough terrain forklift the same as a telehandler?
No. A rough terrain forklift lifts straight up on a mast. A telehandler reaches forward on a boom. We sell rough terrain forklifts.
Can a rough terrain forklift work indoors?
It is diesel powered, so use it outdoors or in well ventilated buildings only.
What training does an operator need?
Operators need lift truck training under HSE guidance L117, usually an accredited rough terrain counterbalance course.
