Mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) lift people, not pallets, to work safely at height. Scissor lifts raise a wide platform straight up for maintenance and fit-out. Mast lifts fit through doors and narrow aisles. Order pickers carry the operator and a load to pick stock from racking. Boom lifts, also called cherry pickers, reach up and over obstacles. Every machine is new, made to order and priced per unit ex VAT for business customers. We sell only; we do not hire.
Questions about scissor lifts & access platforms
Scissor lift or cherry picker?
A scissor lift goes straight up with a wide platform. A cherry picker (boom lift) reaches up and over obstacles.
How much does a MEWP cost?
Price rises with working height and drive type. Prices per unit start from £795 ex VAT.
Do MEWP operators need training?
Yes. Employers must train operators, and IPAF PAL card training is the UK industry standard.
How often does a MEWP need a LOLER examination?
Equipment that lifts people needs a thorough examination at least every 6 months.
