About this part

A 2 way solenoid cartridge valve that holds the platform up and lets it down when its coil is powered: the lowering valve on the power unit of electric scissor lifts (230 to 500 kg), single and twin mast lifts (125 to 300 kg), order pickers (136 to 300 kg) and push around lifts. Electric hydraulic dock levellers (6 to 15 t) and 2 t mobile dock lifts use a valve of this kind on their power unit too. A valve that sticks or leaks lets the platform creep down or stops it lowering. It screws into an 08 size, 2 way cavity (3/4 in UNF thread), stays closed until its coil is powered and has a knurled knob on the end for lowering by hand in an emergency. One valve cartridge with its O rings fitted; the coil is not included, so reuse your old coil. Our machine specifications do not give the valve size: compare your old valve or send a photo of it and any marking on its hex, and our written quote confirms the match before you order.

Lift off the coil and unscrew the old valve. Compare the thread into the block (08 size: 3/4 in UNF, about 19 mm across), the hex and the overall length, and check it is normally closed (no flow until the coil is powered), or send a photo of it and any marking on its hex.
