Buying notes, range news and offers from London Pallet Trucks: pallet trucks, pump trucks, stackers, forklifts, shopping trolleys and roll cages for UK businesses. Written for buyers, not for search engines, with real prices and real products.
Comparison · Walk behind floor scrubber or ride on: which one suits your floor areaA walk behind floor scrubber starts at £785 ex VAT and suits floors up to roughly 1,000 m² where aisles and doorways are tight. A ride on starts at £1,345 ex VAT and earns its place above roughly 3,000 m², because cleaning width and operator comfort decide how long the job takes. Aisle width, floor area and how often you clean decide which one you buy, not the headline price.
Comparison · Manual pallet stacker or semi-electric? Where the extra money earns its keepA manual pallet stacker is pushed by hand and lifted by pump, reaches about 1.6 m as standard and starts from £435 ex VAT for a 1 t model with 1000 mm forks. A semi-electric stacker keeps the hand push but raises the mast on a battery, at £715 ex VAT for a 1 to 2 t model, and earns that gap once one operator is lifting pallets all day rather than a few times a week. Above 2 t, or above about 3 m, move up to a full electric stacker.
Guide · Pump truck, pallet truck or pallet jack: which one to buy for your warehouseA pump truck, a pallet truck and a pallet jack are the same thing: a hand hydraulic truck that lifts a pallet clear of the floor so one person can move it. For most UK warehouses and cash and carries the right buy among our hand pallet trucks is a 2 t or 2.5 t truck with 1150 mm forks and polyurethane wheels, from £76 ex VAT. Step up to 3 t or 5 t for dense loads such as tiles, drums or steel, choose galvanised or stainless for wet and food areas, and add a weighing scale if you check weights at goods in.
Comparison · Loading ramp or dock leveller: which one and what each costsIf you load from a raised bay, you need a fixed hydraulic dock leveller, from £3,580 ex VAT. If you load from a flat yard or into a shipping container, you need a mobile loading ramp, also called a mobile yard ramp, at £10,490 ex VAT for a 10 t unit. Capacity, not price, is the number that decides the specification.
Guide · Which Electric Pallet Truck Does Your Cash and Carry Actually Need? For most cash and carry and warehouse floors a 1.5 to 2 t walkie electric pallet truck with a lithium-ion battery is the right buy; our electric pallet trucks start from £390 ex VAT. Step up to 3 t for drinks, tiles, bagged goods and yard work, and keep a manual pump truck for short, occasional moves. Lead-acid still makes sense where the truck works one shift and charges overnight in a fixed spot.
News · 700 new products: supermarket trolleys, roll cages and shelving, factory-directLondon Pallet Trucks has added a second factory partner and seven retail ranges to the shop: supermarket shopping trolleys in European, American, Asian and plastic styles, children's trolleys, shopping baskets, roll cages, warehouse and platform trolleys, wire shelving and warehouse step ladders. Everything is made to order and priced in GBP ex VAT, with shopping trolleys from £16 ex VAT, bulk price, and roll cages from £28 ex VAT, bulk price.
Comparison · Pallet stacker or forklift? When a stacker truck is all your warehouse needsOne of our pallet stackers is enough when your heaviest pallet is 2 t or under, your top beam is no higher than about 4.5 m and the truck works indoors on a level floor. A full electric walkie stacker with a 3 m mast starts from £1,065 ex VAT, needs no operator licence and turns in an aisle a counterbalance forklift cannot. Choose a forklift for heavier loads, taller racking, yard work or side loading a lorry.
Comparison · Which forklift should a UK yard or warehouse buy: diesel, LPG or electric?New counterbalance forklift trucks bought factory-direct start from £4,460 ex VAT for a 2 to 4.5 t diesel, at £3,980 ex VAT for a 3 to 5 t LPG and at £3,370 ex VAT for a 1.5 to 3.5 t lithium electric. Diesel suits open yards, LPG suits mixed indoor and outdoor work with ventilation, and electric suits warehouses, food premises and cold stores. Compare nothing until the written quote shows freight, duty and VAT.
Comparison · Scissor lift, cherry picker, mast lift or order picker: which MEWP to buy?For warehouse racking, maintenance and shopfitting between 6 m and 14 m, an electric scissor lift is the right buy for most sites: a self-propelled 240 to 450 kg platform, platform heights from 3.8 m to 13.8 m, from £3,660 ex VAT. A single mast lift at £1,035 ex VAT suits one person with hand tools at 6 m, and an order picker at £3,170 ex VAT is the choice when the job is picking stock in narrow aisles. A cherry picker only earns its size and cost when you must reach up and over something.Contact us by email
